Brave and great

Bravery, confidence and resilience for children

The length and content of workshops can be adapted for children and young people in all Key Stages

What does it really mean to be brave? For some children, it might be as simple as channelling their inner Peter Parker.

For others, though, it’s not so easy. Maybe just the thought of speaking in class is too much, let alone battling the latest Marvel villain.

But confidence and resilience are essential parts of learning. Even though your pupils are not on a mission to save the world, they are facing their own challenges. From making friends to tackling the latest maths problem, life is full of obstacles children need to overcome.

And if they don’t have the skills they need to overcome those obstacles, learning and life can become all too difficult.

So here we are, swinging in to help. Our Brave and Great workshop is just what your class needs to explore, in a fun and interactive way, what being brave and great really means.

And the best bit? By the end, they’ll have their own toolkit to help them continue to be brave and great in the future. Lycra outfits sold separately…

Here’s what you can expect

  • A high energy and fun session
  • Ways for children to identify things that are tricky
  • Strategies to develop a sense of confidence and self-belief
  • Lots of power posing!

What you’ll get by the end

  • Children who are more willing to 'have a go', take a risk and learn from their mistakes
  • Happier kids, who have improved coping skills for the challenges that school (and life) throws at them
  • Pupils who have their very own resilience toolkit to use both now and in the future

‘I just wanted to say that I've been having some lovely feedback from staff (and the children in their class) to say how much they have been enjoying the workshops. That's great to hear! Thank you!’
