Plumpton College Kicks Off the New Term with a Boost of Happiness from Stephanie Davies

Laughology

Plumpton College, the UK’s leading hub for land and environment education, recently celebrated a well-deserved "Outstanding" rating from OFSTED across multiple key areas.

To kick off the new term and celebrate this milestone, they invited none other than Laughology’s Head of Happiness, Stephanie Davies, as their keynote speaker. Stephanie’s invitation came at just the right time, as Plumpton College, under the leadership of Principal Jeremy Kerswell, is not resting on its laurels but gearing up for even greater achievements.

Stephanie was the perfect choice to inspire both staff and students, sharing her personal journey of overcoming educational challenges due to dyslexia and discovering her passion for performing arts and psychology through further education—a journey that led her to the success she enjoys today at Laughology.

In her keynote, Stephanie highlighted the importance of those pivotal moments in education and how a positive, inclusive environment can shape successful futures. She also introduced Laughology’s FLIP-It Thinking model, a tool designed to help everyone maintain resilience and positivity, especially during challenging times.

Principal Jeremy Kerswell praised the keynote, noting that it not only exceeded expectations but also perfectly aligned with the college’s ongoing commitment to excellence. With this inspirational start, Plumpton College is looking forward to another year of growth, achievement, and even a bit more laughter along the way!
