Join our October menopause webinar – "Giving it the V" – we need your help and stories!

Laughology

October is Menopause Month, and Laughology is making sure we all talk about it.

"Giving it the V" will be a different take on Menopause month as we explore the myths and truths about menopause and provide a wider understanding of the female journey from the onset of periods to the end of them. Yes, you read that right – we’ll be diving into the world of the vagina (no pun intended) and all its wonder, quirks and amazingness with both humour and respect.

As part of the hour-long webinar, we want to share real stories from real women, so if you want to share your story, about your menopause, vagina or period journey please fill in this anonymous survey.

We can’t read out all the stories, but we’ll try and share them in other ways - all stories will be anonymous. In doing this we hope to normalise some of the things that happen ‘down there’ and help everyone feel comfortable to talk to someone, be it a friend or professional.

Stop right there if you think this isn’t for you. We’re inviting everyone to join this important conversation in our one-hour interactive webinar. We find that the more diverse our audience, the richer the conversation.

What to Expect

In this webinar, we’ll share funny and inspiring stories of women and their journeys with their vaginas – an exploration, if you will. Our aim is to break down the taboos and create a comfortable space for discussing female health openly.

We’ll be joined by an exceptional panel, including:

Helen works alongside the Department for Work and Pensions, helping employers develop policies that empower women experiencing menopause to stay and progress in their careers. Her insights will be invaluable for understanding the workplace implications of menopause.

Why Attend?

  • Demystify menopause: Learn why it’s important to talk openly about menopause and female health.
  • Comfort and fun: Feel more at ease and even have a laugh while discussing these topics.
  • Health and relationships: Understand the impact menopause can have on both.
  • Safety and convenience: Join us from the comfort of your own home.

Webinar Structure – 60 minutes

  • Introduction: Kick off the workshop with introductions of our facilitators and panel members.
  • Interactive Quiz: Engage in a fun quiz covering the history of language and treatment regarding menopause, showcasing how far we’ve come.
  • Misconceptions about Vaginas: An interactive segment discussing common misconceptions about vaginas and female anatomy, with prizes up for grabs.
  • Agony Aunt Section: Facilitators will lead an Agony Aunt style segment highlighting real stories from real women (collected from survey results), with contributions and answers from the panel.
  • Audience Poll: We’ll take a poll to understand what the audience wants next.
  • Funny Wrap-Up and Takeaways: End on a high note with a humorous wrap-up and key takeaways from the session.
