Resilience Workshop at Willowfield Secondary School
The first week in September is always a busy time for us here at Happy-Centred Schools, as we’re often the first choice for INSET days to energise school staff and equip them with tools for the new term ahead.
Kerry was invited to Willowfield Secondary School in London to deliver FLIP-it Thinking for Resilience to empower the teachers, some of whom were feeling overwhelmed as they approached a new school year.
Willowfield is a growing school, with new buildings to accommodate its large, diverse and multicultural community of students. Working tirelessly to serve the children, it's understandable that some self-resilience strategies are needed - and oodles of positive humour to help keep perspective.
Kerry engaged with a large group filling their school hall, creating a great energy and encouraging people to reflect on how they could use FLIP-It in ‘real-life’, for example when having difficult conversations and coping with last-minute changes.
Feedback included: “Fantastic, really brought the audience on board. Amazing message delivered with humour and skill.”
