Growth mindset and inclusion with Swiss International School
Having not been on a work trip abroad since 2019, Sarah Creegan was very excited to be jetting off to Switzerland to deliver two days of workshops for the teachers at Swiss International School.
Usually a cool and calm character, Sarah had to put her FLIP It Thinking into action when her plane landed, and her network provider texted to welcome her to France! But that’s a different story…
On the first day, the topic was Growth Mindset and FLIP in the classroom. And on the second day, the group focused on Being Inclusive: the impact of unconscious bias on students’ mental health. Discussions were really interesting and thought-provoking, with everyone committing to making a change in their thinking, language or behaviours.
As a treat to herself, Sarah made time to enjoy the local dish of Raclette – a delicious lump of melted cheese with boiled potatoes, garnished with mini pickled onions and cornichons. And she’d like people to know that, going forward, she’s very happy to work (and try national dishes) worldwide.
