Presentation Skills Training with Dukes Education Group

Laughology

Kerry and Jim were invited to spend the day with people from Dukes Education to empower them to have better conversations and improve their presentation skills with  Communicating and Presenting with Impact.

To communicate in a compelling way, an awareness of self and others is required, i.e. how am I feeling? How do I make other people feel? What do I want people to know? How can I make people feel good whilst getting my message across? It’s also about getting a handle on the knack of storytelling rather than ‘presenting’ - which can be massively helpful, too.

The group was diverse in age, gender, race, background and job role, so it was important to find out first what they wanted from the day and to aim to meet those objectives. We started with the laughs (of course) helping people to get to know each other to build a supportive group.

Then we got stuck into emotional and social intelligence, humour and storytelling, with plenty of opportunities for group play and discussion. The day culminated in each individual flying solo in front of their audience, trying out the tools they’d just learned. Jim and Kerry can’t wait to go back for two more dates with Dukes Education in March.

If you’d like support with presentation skills, get in touch, and we’d be more than happy to see how we can help - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
