Stand-up comedy and humour with 1851 Trust – Football Festivals
Once again, Laughology is undertaking a series of workshops with the 1851 Trust. Having previously worked together on the Maritime roadshow, this year sees a change of theme and focus with the Football Festivals tour.
These day-long events focus on this year's Euros and has support from the UK women's football team to challenge gender stereotypes in sport. A tricky topic you might think - and yet it’s through the medium of improvisation and comedy we have a catalyst for discussion!
Young people are able to share their experiences and desires for the future of sport through devising their own stand-up comedy routines and realising that humour can help everyone look at things in a different way.
With venues such as Manchester, Wigan, Liverpool, Milton Keynes and Southampton it’s been wonderful for Victoria to meet so many sporting young people with ideas about how to make changes for the better.
